Blocking applications through Group Policy

Hi guys,

 

The issue I'm facing is that I'm wanting to block students from installing the spotify application.

 

The easiest way to do this would be to block the website, but we want them to have access to the web player but not be able to run the application.

 

Tried multiple ways to do this but with no avail.

 

What would you reccomend?

Look into Applocker & application whitelisting. It's a lot of work to set up but is worth it in the end as you can allow only certain programs to run and block the rest.
