Veyon and Edquire

Anyone using Veyon?? or the older version, iTALC. Presumably they are quite similar

 

I understand that it's free. What's the catch, what am I missing out on compared to some of the paid programs? All my staff want to be able to do is pause student screens every now and then to gain whole class attention etc.

 

 

Care to share any thoughts?

 

 

I'm considering implementing Veyon as it's free across my school and also considering using Edquire. I doubt anyone here has used Edquire as it's a very new product.

Biggest catch I can see is that it's clearly written by someone who doesn't really understand end user or even network admins. The configuration for it is some of the worst I've seen in a LONG time. Just one look at the LDAP setup screen and trying to get your head around "rooms" and you'll be hunting for his blood.
