adamc04 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Hi, I'm trying to do a hard drive partition, but was only able to do a 16gbs partition, on the C drive it says they is still 157gbs free of 220gb, but i can make the 17gbs partition any bigger, is they a reason for this? Thanks.
synaesthesia Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Yes, because there is no space for a partition to be made; the only way to do it is to shrink the C: partition first, you may need a 3rd party tool to do that such as Partition Magic.
Dos_Box Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Or for free use this - https://www.partitionwizard.com/
FN-GM Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Remember to take a backup before fiddling with the partitions.
Domino Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Or use the built in shrink that's been there for a number of editions of Windows server
