Hyper-V and Azure

We have all our servers as Hyper-V VMs in three Server 2016 hosts, and two more Server 2016 hosts acting as replica servers. I was hoping to use the 'Extend replica' feature in Hyper-V to further backup our VMs to Azure. When I tried to download and discover VMs using the Azure discovery tool, it told me that "Support for Hyper-V is on the roadmap and will be enabled soon." Apparently it only supports VMware!

 

Am I missing something or is there another way of replicating a VM to Azure as a backup for disaster recovery (not to ever run it from Azure)?

I was sure I watched an ignite session where it was easier than the above with a built in setup for it though or a role that could do the job... not sure though...

That looks like the ticket - wonder why I hadn't spotted it before? Must admit Azure is a bit of a minefield!

As I said I'm sure I've seen this done an easier way, but yeah Azure is always a bit of fun - good luck
