Remote Desktop Gateway is temporarily unavailable

Have deployed Remote Apps for a while now and all been working fine. Suddenly users are reporting an error when they try to connect to any remote app from outside the School

 

 

Anyone got any ideas on this?

Can you connect to it internally via the same page as externally?

have the pcs updated recently and if so have you updated the server as theres a windows update that stopped normal rdp working until i updated the server with some windows update or other(sorry cant remember which one i just did any it wanted). not sure if its the same issue but worth a shot

If you mean the CredSSP updates then yes I have done those on the server and the external client machine I am using to test.

The Remote Apps work fine externally from my Android phone so it's related to Windows.

The CredSSP issue bit me last week. Our childcare department uses an application that rides on Remote App for billing and after the their laptops installed the April security roll-up it stopped working. Putting the above registry key on the client computer allowed them to connect. You can give it a try I guess, but from what I read about the issue as long as both ends had been patched it should work.

Yeh I made sure both ends were patched. With the CredSSP you get a more specific error.

I've just tried on my windows 10 laptop at home and it connects fine and I can use the remote apps. It seems to be certain machines so has to be update related but the test machine that doesnt work is definitely upto date with updates.
