Hi

We have a problem in our school where in some classrooms Apple TV will not mirror. We do exactly the same thing in each classroom yet when you use the Kanex HDMI to VGA Adapter in the splitter some classrooms work and some don't. Yet if you plug it in direct to the projector its fine. The only difference I can see is the make of faceplate? (does this make a difference). Most work that have the make sapphire on them but others are blank which do connect but switch to blue screen to apple tv so tries to connect but can't. Anyone had this in their school.. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Have also checked vga cables and there are no pins missing.

Thanks

Confused by your setup - can you elaborate on how things are connected? From what I can make out it's Apple TV -> Splitter -> Kanex adapter -> Monitor, and Splitter -> Projector ??

Either way it could be 2 things. First the Kanex isn't compatible with 4th gen Apple TV's, secondly it's HDCP enabled. If you're getting blue screens rather than blank black ones then chances are HDCP is being activated somewhere.
