GAFE password change on initial login

Morning all,

 

We are rolling out GAFE to our lecturers, so they can log into youtube and bypass the restrictions we have put in place in DNS, so they can access content that is blocked(being a veterinary college some videos including surgery etc are blocked in the moderate settings).

 

The problem I have is that when the person logs in with their domain password it asks them to change it(we use password sync on a DC), can this be changed GAFE wide or have I mucked up on the import and need to start over?

You could use GAM or GAMADV-X to quickly bulk update the change password setting on all of your existing accounts. e.g.

 

gam print users query "orgUnitPath='/Staff'" | gam csv - gam update user ~primaryEmail changepassword off

Do you also use GCDS to create the G Suite accounts? There's an option in this to not prompt users to change their passwords when they first sign in.

Thanks, managed to GAM it, only 44 users in it, so did each one with a manual "gam update", tried a batch but it just looped on the first entry, so I gave up on that! thanks for the actual better snippet, will remember that one
