[1703, cu] WSUS Upgrade to 1709

I'm trying to get my machines to update to V1709 via WSUS

 

Ive allowed the update in WSUS and it has downloaded it.

 

When the machines are looking for updates they are seeing the update and downloading the preping the update. They ask for a restart (acting like its going to install) and it just restarts back to the login screen.

 

Check windows updates and it errors our with 0x8024a105

 

Any one had the problem?

Check the panther folder for compatibility xml files then you can find the reason for the block.

More annoying. Checked a machine again we set it to download and install and it went though.

 

No idea what was going on.... got 60+ machines to update and don’t want to use the upgrade assistant for all.

If you have the 1709 ISO. I'd put it on a share and run it via psexec. You just need the correct command line.
