snagrat Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Hi. I’ve connected a Chromecast to our network. The screen says it is connected but can not see the internet. We have transparent proxy enabled. Has anyone had to get ports opened to allow the Chromecast to work? The Google Home apps sees it OK but I cannot cast to it from either phone on Chrome on desktop
snagrat Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 Anyone? From what I can tell the Chromecast is hardcoded to use the Google DNS servers but I think SWGfL block the use of these. Could that be the problem it won’t cast?

markwilfan Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Did you get it resolved through them?It was a teacher's device. I tried my best but they need the Google DNS to work correctly.
