I've nearly finished rolling out site wide unifi switches and now I'm looking at routing

Fed up of Smoothwall being solely responsible for routing (had a hiccup this morning) And now with the possibility of introducing VOIP I want to introduce more VLANS (CCTV, Printers etc.) I need something a bit better

Those of you with Unifi networks are you using the USG Pro, seeing as they don't have L3 switch as of yet?

I have a full unifi setup at home that I experiment with too which helps (ac-pro - 8 port poe - usg) inter vlan routing appears to be enabled by default, might build another Smoothwall and set it up in proxy mode only and have a USG doing the heavy lifting

UniFi edge switches DO offer later 3 routing, just upgrade the firmware.

I'm trying to stick with Unifi not edge, I just like how everything is in one place

You can keep the switches just have one edge router/switch that all the switches connect to act as a core switch. Edited by ass17
