Bhavesh78 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Hi Guys.. Could anyone tell me what is best software package where I can uninstall old version of java and install lastest version of Java across the school PCs. I'm looking at PDQ Deploy software on free mode.. and on section of "Package Library" and can see that all the software package is all grey out. Are there any other software that can do similar to PDQ deploy software and are free too.. it will save me hassle to go round the school and do updates on each machines Look forward to see your comments have a great day Bhav
ADMaster Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 You can create your own package in PDQ free to do the job. you need to extract the msi and use the correct silent switches. However the paid version is well worth the money.
markwilfan Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 Have a search on edugeek. I wrote a big post on how we do it with sccm and psappdeploy. Could easily be done with psappdeploy and gpo
RobD Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 In the past I've used the free version of PDQ and downloaded some free packages from this chap: https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/749zit/pdq_deploy_packs_v5200_20171004_includes_jre9jdk9/ There's a bunch of useful stuff and one package is remove Java.
