PreSonus Studio One 3 Prime - Registration Query

Studio One 3 Prime is Free for school use but it has to be registered for it to run.

 

Does anyone here install PreSonus on their computers? If so do you install it manually and register each installation or is there a way of deploying it and automatically registering it?

 

I've worked out the silent install is simply "PreSonus Studio One 3 Installer (x64).exe" /S I just need to know now if we'll have to go around every single computer and enter a username and password to register each and every install or if this can be automated at the command line for example during the silent install?

Did you get anywhere with this. It looks like great software and we'd like to try it but hitting the same problem as you.

 

Thanks for the /S (capitals) tip, I tried a few combinations including /s which didn't work.

Tech support confirmed that you need to activate each PC individually and then manage the licences online. No issues in getting 500 free licences to install on all our machines, this was done the same day I sent an email to them.

 

To activate the licence on a PC, you just open up the software and then enter the username and password to your Presonus account and it checks if you have a licence and then assigns one to that computer. If you need to re-image a PC you need to log on to your account on their website and remove the PC from the list to free up a licence etc.

Thanks for the info. I have emailed their support and have been told that it is limited to 5 activations and pointed me to the contact details here: PreSonus Music Education | Contact Us. Was it Presonus support or Presonus MusicEd who added the licenses to your account?

It was someone in the Education department that added the licences to our account.
