ozydave Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 I am kicking myself. I tell people all the time to stop clicking like mad, only to do it myself :-( I use the SIMS Bulk import utility every year to import the new year 7's email accounts into their records in SIMS This year I was clicked the import button twice, now I have 250 student records with Duplicate email addresses in section 4. Anyone got a method to remove all the emails for year 7's? I can then do the import again. I was thinking of an SQL statement that might do the job! Don't fancy going to 250 records individually to delete the extra email address. But I suppose it will teach me a lesson! Finger crossed
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 There is a utility in the form of a patch on SOLUS3 that will read in an import file to update/insert/delete email addresses in bulk. Ask your SIMS support for "Import of EmailAddresses and Telephone Numbers from a CSV File" handbook and patches 20343 and 17195 (Previous patches 18029 and 17188 have been replaced with 20343) (those were the current patch numbers when I did it last year) 1

matt40k Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 SIMS shouldn't let you duplicate email addresses - was one set as home and the other as work? But I suppose it will teach me a lesson! Sure does
ozydave Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 There was no emails to start with. I'm half way done deleting the dups✌️
