bradzgoodz Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Hi We currently use only 3 Macs in one of our art rooms and we have them connected to our active directory so users can log on using there windows log in. I would like a script that runs at log on and removes the local documents folder and links the documents on our file server. I already have a applescript that runs at log on and mounts the volume just need help with the folder redirection. Most forums say use a mac server but for three machines its not worth it happy to have a script run at log on. I need it to run for all users without having to set login items for each individual user. So far i have: set CurUser to short user name of (system info) try mount volume "smb://ourserver/staffhomefolders/" & CurUser mount volume "smb://ourserver/StudentHomeFolders/" & CurUser display dialog "Home Directory Mounted" end try
aarongulley Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Is the UNC path set? This should be within the binding settings. This will allow the users home folders to be redirected.
