We have recently taken over responsibility for an old-ish Juniper WiFi controller, which uses the Trapeze software for configuration / management. We can read the configuration in the Trapeze DB, but the problem is we don't know the enable password that is needed to write any changes we make to the controller. Does anyone have any experience of Juniper WiFi controllers or know how we can recover/reset the enable password? We don't want to have to perform a full reset incase we lose any AP licences etc. along with the configurationn (last resort).

We understand the model of controller is longer supported by Juniper.

Kind Regards,

Some further info:

The full name of the Management software is Trapeze Ringmaster (version 8.0).

Many Thanks,

Hello, i have had a look on the support forums and found the below:

If an Enable password has not been configured yet, you can leave the Enable Password field blank to make changes.

If one has been set, this would have been done so by the old adminstrator.

If you lose the enable password, the only way to restore it is to return the MX to the default settings which erases any saved configuration.

Below is a user guide and config guide that may come in use.
