Hyper V Cluster Occasional Network Error

Hi

 

I have a New install Of server 2016 Datacenter setup as a cluster - Two hosts and a SAN

Everything seems to work as you would expect with the SAN being used as Cluster shared volumes.

 

About once a week in event logs i get this warning

 

Cluster network interface 'CMS-Vhost-01 - vEthernet (HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 561FLR-T Adapter #2 - Virtual Switch)' for cluster node 'CMS-Vhost-01' on network 'Public Network' is unreachable by at least one other cluster node attached to the network. The failover cluster was not able to determine the location of the failure. Run the Validate a Configuration wizard to check your network configuration. If the condition persists, check for hardware or software errors related to the network adapter. Also check for failures in any other network components to which the node is connected such as hubs, switches, or bridges.

 

Followed by this error

 

Cluster network 'Public Network' is partitioned. Some attached failover cluster nodes cannot communicate with each other over the network. The failover cluster was not able to determine the location of the failure. Run the Validate a Configuration wizard to check your network configuration. If the condition persists, check for hardware or software errors related to the network adapter. Also check for failures in any other network components to which the node is connected such as hubs, switches, or bridges.

 

 

 

The same error at exactly the same time on both hosts.

 

Server validation is 100 perfect

 

Im using two interfaces,

 

Port 1 is Configured in as Cluster Only and is in its own VLan and is only able to communicate to the SAN

Port 2 is Configured as CLuster and Client and is availble on the network ( referd as Public Network in the event )

 

ANy help would be much apprecaited
