We are looking for an experienced Information Security and Governance expert. Based primarily at our Trust office in central London (with frequent visits to our schools), you will take ownership of the security of our central systems and data ensuring compliance against legislative and best practice requirements. You will also work closely with our schools and network of data champions to ensure that we offer the highest levels of protection for the data we hold.

We are looking for someone who can take a balanced risk-based approach to data security, who wants to be part of a growing team, helping to shape the future of ITS at the Trust. The GDST has put digital learning at the heart of its agenda, and this role is key in delivering this successfully. We see this role as part technical and part policy based. One day you will be evaluating a new product for data security, and the next day you could be helping a school understand their obligations under Data protection laws.

It is expected that this role will be heavily involved in our journey to GDPR compliance so experience in this area would be advantageous.
