Primary School Pupil Survey (Google Forms) - Access on iPad

Hi All

 

I have been asked to create a survey for the primary school children, so I've used Google Forms for this.

What the easiest way for the children to access this using shared iPads? Would it be a QR code?

 

I don't want to put it on the school website.

QR codes could work but most tend to open the webpage in their own browser so check compatibility.

You can create shortcuts to web pages on the iPad then put it in the dock. You may be able to deploy this with an MDM, not sure - I used to do it manually.

 

I know you mentioned not putting it on the school website, but I used to embed SurveyMonkey surveys into our school website. I had a master page with all of the surveys on (schoolname.co.uk) that wasn't indexed by search engines or linked from anywhere, URL access only. I then just had a page for each survey with an iFrame for the survey, and a 'Back to Surveys List' link at the bottom.

 

This meant that whoever was overseeing the survey (sometimes it was prefects wandering round at parents evenings, sometimes it was staff) they just had to click on the back link, then on the survey they were doing and it would be ready for the next person.

 

Is there a reason you don't want it on your website?

I only thought it would be open to abuse on the website and skew the response figures. I've never used QR codes before, but have managed to create one and test and it all looks good. Just deploying the iPad app now.
