talksr Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Hi there, I have got a personal user on site with a 40gb SSD running windows 10. They then have a 500gb conventional drive for their documents. Is it easily possible for me to take the Windows partition on the SSD and move it to a brand new 128gb SSD? I usually use CloneZilla but I don't know if it will be able to handle this.
XiJ Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Yes. And I believe clonezilla is fine for cloning to a larger driver. There are many alternatives of course. 1
Passat1983ICTech Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 why don't you create a backup of the drive and store it on a drive the copy it back thatway 1
FN-GM Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Clonezilla will handle it. When you're done use disk manager to expand the drive into the unused space. 1
