Gilly2003 Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Hi all, Apologies in advance for such a simple question however I believe I am over thinking what I really need. I have been set with the task of simply creating a RPi terminal that have firefox to broswe an internal site. Simple. I went down the root of using the RPi Thin Client OS Project which is really good but the instructions on how to lock it down are lacking and I am now thinking what I am trying to do with it is simply overkill. As I say I only need to run run firefox, the users must not be able to install more apps, access network folders etc etc Can someone confirm if using the RPi Thin Client project is right for my scenario or simply overkill? Any help would be greatly appreciated
bald_pig Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Does it have to be firefox? deadspin-quote-carrot-aligned-w-bgr-2
Chr1sM Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Hi, This looks like it might help, or something life it, Quick Start Guide: Installing and Using Firefox Kiosk Mode. I imagine raspbian running firefox, with a firefox plugin, will be least work for you. Ta, Chris
Ric_ Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Would something like this not suffice? https://github.com/guysoft/FullPageOS (admittedly not Firefox)
