The Role:

Shipley College is situated in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire and is committed to high standards, encouraging staff and students to do their best and to aim high.

We are seeking to appoint an IT Technician to work within the Information & Learning Technology Service (ILTS). As a Technician at Shipley College you will play a valuable role supporting academic staff, support staff and learners, ensuring that they are able to access all IT services whilst maintaining a fit for purpose working environment.

Your duties would include maintaining and developing the College’s network, desktop and mobile infrastructure, progressing support tickets, and assisting users in their use of application software.

You should possess:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  
• A thorough knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office suite
  
• Previous experience of Microsoft Active Directory Services
  
• The desire to continuously improving your technical knowledge
  

 

It would be advantageous if you had prior knowledge of Apple iOS and/or Android as well as experience with macOS/OSX.
