Blocking Vaping sites for Students

Hi All,

 

We have been monitoring our students over the past 6 months and we have found that there is a marked increase in hits for "Vaping Sites" I just wondered how others feel about this in terms of safeguarding?

 

Do you ban the sites as they come up or create search term categories?

 

Could Smoothwall themselves fit this into the smoking and tobacco category which automatically stops access to such sites for students?

 

Would like to hear from anyone else who feels this is something that the students should not be able to access whilst at school?

I'd ask your own SLT about this. If it was drugs or alcohol it would be blocked. It is perhaps something that @smoothwall should give an opinion on too.
