Virtue Technologies wish to appoint an experienced IT Manager to work within one of our Multi Academy Trust customers. This is predominantly a management role and whilst the applicant will require solid technical foundations in IT solutions, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering an IT Strategy whilst maintaining effective operational IT Services.

 

Virtue Technologies work in partnership with our customers, aiming towards a common goal of improving teaching and learning, ultimately supporting a school towards its IT vision. We do this by providing a customised and local service that is both flexible and innovative. An ISO9001 accredited company and Department for Education IT Framework Supplier, Virtue Technologies is a leading provider of IT solutions to local authorities, schools, regional broadband consortia, academy trusts and colleges and businesses.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be the IT Manager for the Trust, working across two High School Academies in the Bradford area.
  • Lead, manage, develop and motivate an IT Team and inspire them to deliver an outstanding service.
  • Work at a strategic level with school staff and Senior Leadership Teams to fully understand strategic needs and develop plans to meet them.
  • Deliver the IT Strategy in an effective manner, maintaining implementation plans and communicating progress and issues to delivery.
  • Be an innovative, collaborative and an excellent communicator.
  • Be looking to make a valuable contribution to both Virtue Technologies and the Trust’s Academies.
  • Have a track record of delivering 1st Class IT Services, ideally in an education environment.
  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of school policies and procedures for the safe, effective and innovative use of IT within the school environment.
  • Manage and maintain the network system and co-ordinate the efficient operation of all computers and associated equipment within school.
  • Own, deliver and maintain the IT Improvement Plan and other Management documentation.
  • Be responsible for the analysis, evaluation and detailed reporting to Senior Management in relation to all aspects of IT provision.

The successful candidate will work be between two High School Academies in the Bradford area, with occasional visits to Virtue Technologies Head Office in Skelmersdale.
