Start Menu Issues

Hi All,

 

Having a few issues with start menu on a Windows 10 Pro machine. It has just been networked to our domain and everything works fine on the administrator account but for every other user the start menu will not open up and none of the icons on the task bar can be accessed. Has anyone got a workaround or fix for this? Tried the Microsoft guides but still not fixed.

Sounds like a

Profile issue. Have you configured a new profile? Try logging in and letting it create a local account. I had his

Tried a new profile yes, its literally only the domain admin account where it will work...

I had it. It was the profile for me. My techie targets a .v5 and not v6. All is well now I created a new man profile

Are you using local profiles or Mandatory/Roaming profiles?

Mandatory for students roaming for staff

Roaming for everyone. I would try Mandatory or local for students. A lot less bother.

On our curriculum network it is all mandatory but this is our admin network, just for admin staff so they are all roaming profiles

How did you create your roaming profile?

have reimaged the machine, is there anything which can be done so that the start menu will work straight the way once the machine has been added to the domain
