Chrome breaking after second login

Hi - weird one. Using windows 10 with mandatory profiles loaded to the hard drives on the laptops.

 

When a student account logs in, it loads the mandatory profile but also creates a user folder for the user that looks like a complete profile.

 

Everything works OK on first login - chrome can load and browse the web.

 

When the user logs off and logs on again, chrome can not resolve any websites. ERR_Failed for any site.

 

deleting the user's profile and having them log on again will resolve the issue for the first time, then same issue with chrome occurs when they log off and on again.

 

Any ideas what is causing this or workarounds?

 

I've run startupscripts with for delprof2 which gets rid of profiles but on laptops startup scripts are a bit unreliable.

running it as shutdown or login scripts seem to use the users logged on credentials and so does not have appropriate rights to execute the batch file.

 

Only https sites do not load. http load OK.
