AD name change -not propagating to AD joined macbook

Hi,

 

Does anyone know how to ( or whether it is possible ) to do the following:

I have renamed a user in Windows 2012 AD (username was correct , but description of lastname was spelt wrong so changed it.

 

The users macbook is joined to the AD - I took it off and rejoined it, but the username is still showing the old spelling.

 

Any tips / ideas on how I can change this without re creating the user from scratch?
