WS 2012 Storage Pool vs Disk Management

Hello,

I have question about storage Pool and Disk Management in Windows Server 2012. I have small experiance but can someone explain me what is a difference ? On Storage Pool I can connect disks together and when I create Virtual Disk I can set if it is Mirror, Simple or Raid 5. But on Disk Management I can make the same Mirror, Simple Raid 5. I cannot add another disk as a pool. So this is only difference ?

 

What is funny when I created storage pool with two phisical disks I set Mirror option. I went do Disk Management and this disk is as basic disk. But I can change this disk to dynamic disk and one more time mirror it with another 3 disk.
