sted Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Im trying to install python at a school and on most (but not all) pcs in the suite i get this error (whether i install as a script which seems iffy in itself or manually) looking it up says im missing visual c++ libs but it just fails to install them (complains another installer is running or just runs for ever (left over 1 hour) any ideas as im stumped bar rebuilding the pcs
sted Posted December 5, 2016 Author Posted December 5, 2016 Whats the error? Steve it shows a pic on my screen but the program cant start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem
Steve21 Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Ah yeah that's normally the VCLibs as you said, funnily enough though the taking long time etc to run is another fix we're doing at the moment where they broke windows updates again it seems on 7. Do your normal windows updates work when searching online? Or are they sticking too? Steve
