Kitkatninja Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Hi All, Was wondering if anyone has come across this and how did you sort this out... We currently have a Fortinet system (firewall, controller, etc - all in one), we are moving away from the wireless part of it to go with Ruckus, however we are having issues with internet filtering groups. No matter what we use (AD authentication, Radius/NPS, LDAP, etc) we can connect to the network but we do not get the internet filtering groups applied (these are created in the Fortinet system, based on the groups in AD) - so everyone that uses their own devices only get guest internet access. But, of course, if they use the issued laptops from us (that are joined to the domain) they get their assigned filtering. Is there anyway around this? How can we get the proper filtering applied to the "Bring your own Device" devices? Thanks -Ken
AlanD Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 I guess its difficult for anyone to answer this - other than Fortinet and Ruckus....and I can't understand why you are not tasking them with this. Assuming Ruckus is using VLANs....and are you trying to do this with Radius Accounting? or Captive portal? It should be possible - but if Rukus is new - I would have insisted that they demonstrated that they could get this to work before committing to using their kit.
