Hi Everyone,

 

I'm posting this here as I really value everyone's opinions on here (more so than some of my friend) and qould love some feedback on a project of mine,

Basically I have always always always dreamed of owning some land or a small field, nothing massive say 1-2 acres , somewhere to chill out and do random things like quad biking , growing, kids birthday partys.

Anyway my finances look like i will never furfill my dream unless i take some actions so i was thinking about making a kickstarter page to partiially fund the field purchase, having no experience with crowd funding , do you think this is a good idea?

my idea would involve persons who pledge get something like.

 

pledge £30 get tickets for a drive in movie @ the field

pledge £60 get a birthday party @ the field

pledge £150 get next 3 birthday partys @ the field

pledge

*any more i can think of, paintballing , 4x4 offroad , clay pidgeon shooting (i have a license but would need to look into more)

 

 

 

Target funds to raise will be around 30k

 

any thoughts?

whilst it sounds good, you actually need permission from the local authority to come through on any of this. Just because you own the land, doesn't mean you can run a business from it, or anything agricultural without it being for personal use. I looked at something similar myself, and I tried in various areas, but was promptly told by councils, unless I register the land for business use, it can't be used for anything but personal usage.
