tj2419 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I've been asked by our marketing guy if there is a government website or something that exists that would show all schools and the number of pupils in each year group. Basically wants to know how many is in each year group in our local primaries without having to bother their staff to do the work. Does anyone know of a way to find this information? .gov website school census or something. I can only find a schools total number. Thanks
Jamman960 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 The inspection report for each school is probably as close as you're going to get, it should detail the total number of pupils along with the number of year groups, this should allow you to make an educated guess, it may even state average class size and normal number of forms per year. The census would certainly hold the info but from my understanding they generalise the data availible to the public and wouldn't declare that school x has y number of pupils in y6 etc 1
