ZGSims Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Hi everyone, I finished my first timetable this year with only a few bumps along the way...! However, I have now realised that I didn't change the assigned levels in Nova T6 to the new 2 year A-Level course for our Year 12. I'm concerned that this will affect learning aims etc for next October's Census and also when I've exported our exams data into ALPS there are a lot of corrections to make to levels. Is there any way I can do this in Nova without messing everything else up? Thanks.
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Any changes you make in NOVA won't take affect until the next academic year. If you want to make changes to levels you need to do it in course manager after the start of an academic year.
ZGSims Posted October 21, 2016 Author Posted October 21, 2016 So I'll have to amend in Course Manager for each one? The QANs are correct for the 2 Year A level classes, it's just the level assigned in Nova T is incorrect. Can I manually change this in Course Manager?
bobsmith Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 The level in course manager is a bit of a red herring, it's for internal use only - doesn't get reported to the DfE or anybody else. You really need the levels to internally seperate different versions of the same "subject", like BTEC business vs GCSE business, or A-level vs GCSE. So in a nutshell, edit them in course manager (i.e. create a new course, you can't actually change the old ones) but don't fret too much as nobody but you will actually care what they show.
