NewBoy Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Has anyone had any problems with the Dell Latitude 3150 ?? one of our schools have 10 of them all a couple of months out of there 1 year warranty and 5 are reporting no bootable device ?? The BIOS is on the latest version but not picking up the hard drive, there is nothing wrong with the hard drives as in another system they work fine, I have changed the small SATA cable but still nothing. Could it be that all have motherboard faults and if so surely Dell should honour this even though out of warranty if it turns out to be a faulty batch.
difinity Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 When you go into the BIOS is the hard drive shown ? If the SATA settings have been changed this will give the no bootable device message on boot up.
NewBoy Posted October 4, 2016 Author Posted October 4, 2016 No not showing at all, even tried restoring defaults and still nothing.
difinity Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 The hard drive should show up under Primary Device in the BIOS even if the SATA settings are incorrect.
difinity Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Nope not a thing. It's empty or it shows "None" ?
