deploy studio on el Capitan and issues with older hardware

Hi All

We have recently upgraded our server to el capitan, and installed the latest version of deploy studio. We then created a netboot image out of the latest hardware which happens to be MacBook air (using thunderbolt to ethernet adapters)

This has worked fine for a selection of machines on site, but our older 2007 and 2008 iMac's refuse to boot from this netbook image and panic.

I created a netboot image on that specific machine and that will not boot to the server.

I created at a deploy studio USB netboot image and this boots without kernel panicking but will not connect to the server (via FQDN or ip). i then created another deploy studio USB boot stick, this also booted but could not find the server.

Client version is 10.11

Server version is 10.11

Deploy studio version is 1.7.4.3

ip range is 255.255.252.0

I've been researching this and working on this for over a day now (between other work) and cannot seem to find a solution.

I'm quickly getting to the point of setting up a 10.9 server on a old laptop to get this dam thing running.

any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
