alfatec Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Anybody use Music Maker 2016 or 2013. Had it installed on Windows 7 and worked fine for all users but installed on Windows 10 and it will only run for administrators. When a student tries to run it, it sticks on 'Initilizing Midi'. Many thanks
mavhc Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Just installed Music Maker Free via GPO MSIs to Windows 10, no issue with midi, although not tried with a midi usb keyboard in yet
mavhc Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 However it does screw up the folders where the files are supposed to be saved, trying to put them in c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile, tried the following reg file to fix, doesn't seem to work. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MAGIX\mm25] "MsiDirUserFiles"="%HomeDrive%%HomePath%\\MusicMaker\\" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MAGIX\Soundpool_MusicMaker_Feelgood] "MsiDirUserFiles"="%HomeDrive%%HomePath%\\MusicMaker\\Soundpool_MusicMaker_Feelgood\\" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MAGIX\Vita_Concert_Grand_LE] "MsiDirUserFiles"="%HomeDrive%%HomePath%\\MusicMaker\\Vita_Concert_Grand_LE\\" Changing manually works. Had a look at the MSIs in Orca, loads of validation errors. MSI files are named .MS_ btw, renamed them. Can't see where it's storing it, can't find it in the file system or registry.
