Senior IT Technician (Digital)

 

The Role:

 

Digital Learning has become a highly significant area of development over the last 5 years at Caterham

School, resulting in us recently being acknowledged as an Apple Distinguished School for the work we

have done in successfully integrating Apple technology into teaching and learning. The Senior It Technician

(Digital) will be instrumental in not only maintaining the current high standards of our Digital Learning

provision, but in helping the school advance them further. You will work closely with both the IT Systems

Manager and the Director of Innovation to ensure that Caterham continues to offer outstanding support

and solutions to its students and staff when it comes to mobile technology and Apple-based systems.

 

Whilst you will have the all-round skills of an outstanding IT Technician, you will need to know Apple

technology (particularly iPad and OSX) very well, and preferably in an educational setting where DEP, VPP

and AD-integration of Mac computers has been utilized.

 

This is a senior role within the department, and as such you will be expected to mentor the IT Technician

(Senior School) so that you have an additional line of support in completing your day-to-day duties.

 

Managed by the IT Systems manager, the Bursar has overall responsibility for support staff throughout the

School

 

Salary circa. £28,000 dependent upon skills and experience.
