We use a google domain for our user email and storage. We use GADS Sync to synchronise our AD passwords to our google accounts. Here lies the problem, when we run the sync it seems to be synching user password back to the previously used password. An advice would be gratefully received

GAPS will only sync a password when the password changes (I assume it needs to intercept the clear text). GADS can set an initial password on account creation but does not as far as I know sync them (I assume because it cannot access the password clear text).

Before today unless anything has changed, if we changed the password in AD then run the sync the google password has also changed

In which case you are running with clear text or MD5 unsalted passwords somewhere - which is probably ... unwise.
