Win10/Win7 Mixed Environment

Hi everyone,

 

 

We've run into a strange issue regarding windows 7 and windows 10. When a member of staff is logged into a Windows 7 machine and then (Whilst still logged into the Win7 machine) logs into a Windows 10 machine they seem to lose all their desktop icons and SIMS access.

 

 

The issue is pretty irregular but frequent enough to warrant investigation (Hence this post).

 

 

I was simply wondering if anyone had experienced this before and knows of a fix? Is there a known issue with logging into Win7 and Win10 at the same time, with the same account?

where is their desktop? redirected or part of their profile? if its part of the profile id suspect thats the problem the profiles are different (at least on roaming) so \\server\share%\user\desktop\mydoc.docx on win7 would be more like \\server\share%\user.v5\desktop\mydoc.docx on a win10 pc
