anyone found a guide on how to shoot?

I am shooting blindly in multiplayer mode (not played single player)

I can tag all day long, but when it comes to sniping, after about shot 5 I hit my target!

help needed before Tuesday as i know I am going to get my Ar5e handed to me on a plate!

p.s. if anyone wants to join in Lobby Name Haldarulon

although not much chat happens as the game is so blinking tense!

I thought so, nice to see a fellow 'slinger on here.

Apologies for thread derailment.

I think I have a copy of this for the X360, If so - I'll fire it up to see if I can find out and give you any hints.

Now I've never played the MP in this, only campaign, but IIRC, you get a wind indicator at the top of the screen to show how strong and which direction the wind is blowing, that'll help for left / right alignment. You should have a pair of Binoculars to help with distance, which you then account for using the notches in the scope.

Think you also get a little white dot when holding breath to show where the shot will hit? Not sure if it's there in MP, but it's definitely there in the lower SP difficulties!

I'll reinstall tonight and give it a go, see if I can see what's what.

Dropped you a friend request last night.

Played for about an hour last night, got a few matches in.. that's actually really fun!

My game had no wind, so I didn't have to account for any of that and I'm not sure whether there's an indicator. Went with the Carcano and an MP40, larger secondaries can give you away if you're behind low cover, try to select a decent skin too. If you take tank crew and you're running around in that white vest, you're gonna have a bad time!

Seems to be pretty big on No Cross servers looking at the listings last night, still get sights for rifle scope, but nothing else. Binocs become pretty important to tag enemies as they move from cover to cover.

Not gonna lie, I spent most of my games cowering in the corner for five minutes at a time, taking a few pot shots and crawling along into new cover. Seemed like most of my team were doing the same. Use the third person camera to your advantage, you can scout corners and watch large areas from cover without having to pop over / around and getting shot. If you can't take the shot on a runner you see, swap to binocs and tag them for a friendly.

sounds like you play EXACTLY the same way as me...

binocs to tag then wait till an opening ;) and boom!

looking through the sites, the notches on the scope, do they equate to a distance? eg top notch is 200 meter next one 400 meter etc etc...

Online I always play slight wind and no red spot ;) usually play teams as I am on with a pal!

Yes, the vertically arranged notches on a scope are to account for range while any to the sides are for windage. (I have a hunting scope on one of my airsoft rifles)
