TechMonkey Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Just wondering if anyone has managed to set the default buffer size in Cubase. We have a working package but when the software is first started it sets teh buffer to somethign silly like 5000. This causes Music lag! tried setting the registry value in the package but when the software first starts up it seems to do a scan and if there are any values all ready there it starts a new registry node. Can't find any files where this default value is held so if all fails it will have to be a manual jobby but hoping it won't come to this. Ta

Ta If you go into the software, click preferences, then look for DNA Buffer size, How weird - we had the exact same problem yesterday where the Music teacher was moaning that when he was recording in Cubase !!! It kept giving off cracks & pops it turnt out to be that our DNA buffer size was too low at 512, so we changed it to 1024 & now theres no problem. Edited February 5, 2008 by flashsnaps
