School IT Support – SQL Database Technician (West Sussex) * URGENT *

£22,000 - £25,000 (full-time), 20 days holiday (plus bank hols), free lunches/gym/parking, pension and CPD.

 

My client, a prestigious independent school in West Sussex is actively seeking an SQL Database Technician to develop, manage and maintain the school’s database systems.

 

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar position in a school and have experience of providing IT support (in person and on the phone), report writing and training colleagues.

Please note - The school will consider enthusiastic individuals with IT experience and the right attitude, who they can train up with the required technical skills for this role (i.e. SQL Server, T-SQL and SSRS).

 

 

Knowledge and experience of the following skills are highly desirable :

• Managing and supporting SQL Server including backup, maintenance and performance monitoring.
  
• SQL queries, T-SQL and SSRS.
  
• Maintaining the security, integrity and proper usage of a school’s network.
  
• Installing, testing and upgrading software and hardware.
