Is anyone on here having issues running Pearson's testing software alongside Impero?

 

We're having issues with the test being stopped when the testing software detects some Impero process running. While we could use the fix of removing Impero from any machine that's going to be used for testing, we'd still like a solution that'd allow both the owning - and eating of cake.

We have done nothing special with our Impero and Pearson deployments.

 

While I can't say, hand on heart, everything has gone swimmingly with our Pearson online testing we haven't seen any issues along the lines that you describe.

The NM used to run it at another site with no issues - but it seems that there's something different here that's kicking it off.

How do you know that it is Impero that is causing the problem?

What is the error message?

Can you provide a screenshot?

We had issues with impero and POP. From then onwards I always stopped the impero service with impero before the exam started to prevent future issue.

 

Have you ask Pearson for the top secret unlock process, if a exam gets locked out due to a "violation".

We've provided logs to Pearson and they've stated it's picking up Impero and 'locking due to violation' from that.

 

We've ran it successfully with Impero uninstalled, but haven't had much luck with stopping the service.

I no longer work in education and have no access to Impero. So I am going this from memory.

 

To disable the service, open the console on one computer, click on the admin tab, click on Task Manager. I then think there is a services tab. From here you can disable service remotely. You can do this in bulk by ticking all computers required before doing the above.
