Small scale virtual host, storage options

We're looking at replacing an old SAN & virtual host at one of our remote sites, fairly light load for local resources such as:

 

• domain controller
  
• DHCP
  
• print server
  
• WSUS
  
• systems management \ software deployment
  
• imaging
  

 

With some of the new tech that's come along recently there's a few more options for replacement than previous so interested to see what people would go for out of, say:

 

1. single host with 15k SAS local storage
   
2. single host with slower storage and SSD acceleration
   
3. small SAN\ NAS with SSD acceleration
   
4. hyperconvered appliance
   

 

I have a feeling the hyperconverged stuff may be out of budget range and perhaps overkill. On the other hand building a single host with disk-only storage feels a bit last-gen but would probably do the trick for our purposes, although with a slight doubt on cost-effectiveness of 15k drives.

 

Because these sites come back to our main LAN over a leased line we prefer to keep a physical box on each site to reduce traffic coming back over the inter-site link, hence the reason why cloudifying (yes I know it's not a word but I like it) the services isn't on the list.
