Hi

Up until half term we had no issues printing to our Follow-You print queue from our Macs which is setup on a windows server, via LPD.

Pretty much 95% of our Macs will now not print and just have the jobs sitting On Hold...I have checked through the cups log and i seem to get this error on pretty much all of them

Returning IPP client-error-attributes-or-values-not-supported for Get-Jobs

Even when I add the printer directly to bypass the windows queue I am still getting this issue...I have tried everything I can think of...removed the LPD service from windows and reinstalled it, checked all of our switches to make sure nothing is being blocked or bottle necked...just stuck scratching my head at the moment trying to get this to work.

I just wondered if anyone had seen this issue before?

Cheers

Found out that this issue was being caused by the latest Impero 5.1.21 server update....

Any more info on this Matty?

We use "follow you" printing and I've had to add all users to the lpadmin group and ive also got a script saved as a .app to allow users to click which basically restarts their local print spooler and allows printing to resume. Problems are minimal now but can sometimes go mental when our "Art" department are printing large images and clogging up the print server.

Ours are all directory users and our Macs are bound to AD.

Only removed Impero thus far as our "Art" dept also required printing due to exams etc. I have logged a call with Impero (yesterday) but still not heard from them. Will have to leave it off for now.

Was there any further progress on this?

I've just been given a new Mac laptop (running MacOS 10.11.6) and Impero 5325 rev16313, and I'm having the same issue with printing.

@matcochr

Sorry you've experienced this issue. Our latest version is 5.3.32 and an issue described as 'Mac – Printing not working since upgrading to El Capitan' was resolved in that version. I believe that's 10.11.6 and likely to be the problem you're experiencing but without working with you to check in more detail the steps to replicate, we can't guarantee that's the problem you're seeing.

If you'd like to PM me your details we can give you a call on Monday (or a mutually convenient time) to look at the options.

Kindest regards

@Mic_Impero

Thank you for your reply,I saw the update in the changelog so it should just be a case of waiting until the IT department at my college have time to install the update (I don't have full admin privileges so I can't do it myself).
