Chuckster Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I am looking to buy a new phone after my Samsung Galaxy S4 developed a hardware fault 2 days ago, which I am loathed to pay to have repaired. Anyhow, I've been looking around for a new phone and I've noticed many new phones state 2 things in regard to CPU. Take the Samsung Galaxy S6, for example, its chipset is B]Exynos 7420 Octa[/b] with CPU Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57. On the Carphone Warehouse website it has it listed as: Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5Ghz. Does this mean it comes with 2 CPUs or do they mean the phone could come with either CPU?
Domino Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 It's "kind of" got two processors. It's actually a single processor with 2 sets of core types Here's how the Galaxy S6 uses its octa-core processor
