Sheridan Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 I made the mistake of upgrading a Windows 8.1 laptop that was working fine with Bluetooth to Windows 10. Now bluetooth has disappeared completely - not in the device manager or anywhere to be seen! I can't update drivers etc as theres nothing to update. It all worked fine in 8, so I know the adaptor is there (its an HP laptop) - searching around simply shows lots of people with the same problem as me. I know Windows 10 is still a mess but I thought the basics like this were getting sorted. Is there a way to find a device that isn't showing in the device manager in 10?
Sheridan Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 Well if anyone else is having a similar problem with an HP laptop then the simple answer is: give up. Neither HP nor Microsoft support bluetooth drivers on a 2 year old laptop under Windows 10. It reminds me of my early days of experimenting with linux. Back to Windows 7 then!
