Hi guys,

ok I've got a problem imaging a new machine we've jus had onsite, its a HP Prodesk 400 g2.5 sff energy star. I downloaded what I thought were the correct drivers from the HP website, imported into out of box drivers, updated deployment share, generated new boot images, added the new wims to wds boot images, booted from network as normal, chose the wim and I get the following error:

A connection to the deployment share (\\.........\deploymentshare$) could not be made.

The following networking device did not have a driver installed.

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_8105103C&REV_15

So now I'm having a problem finding this nic driver. The hardware id is as follows - PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_8105103C&REV_15

any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Please use "www.pcidatabase.com" to look up manufacture and device

Vendor id 10ec = Realtek

Device Id 8168 = PCIe GBE

My experience with Realtek network drivers, is that Realtek provide one very large driver, that covers all the different chipsets.

Please try the link below

Hi thanks for the reply, I had already downloaded and uploaded that same driver to mdt and it didn't work, got the same error every time.

Although it failed it was the correct driver, I deleted and installed it directly on the pc and it worked, which got me thinking the driver is definitely the right one so I deleted all the other realtek drivers I had previously uploaded to mdt while I was testing to find the right one, updated the deployment share, then added just the one above, updated deployment share again, added new boot images ---- worked a treat!

was reading up on it and found something about too many similar drivers complicating things, may or may not have been the case, who knows!

Again thanks for the help.
