IT Network Manager – Brighton * URGENT *

Up to £35,000 (plus Local Gov. Pension, 25 days holiday & subsidised canteen).

 

Our client, a large secondary school in Brighton are looking for an experienced school’s IT Network Manager with project management skills, to carry out their ambitious ICT plans and take overall responsibility for the management and development of their network infrastructure.

 

The ideal candidate will have played a key role in shaping a school’s IT strategy and network infrastructure and have experience of a school’s full budget planning cycle.

 

 

General responsibilities :

 

To take overall responsibility for the management and development of the network infrastructure within a secondary school, ensuring the safe and reliable running of all ICT systems in order to maintain a high quality service for the staff and students.

 

 

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

 

 

· Microsoft Certification IT Professional.

· Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems and 2010 File Server

· Extensive knowledge of Networks, E-Learning, Google Apps, Gmail and Google Docs.

· Good knowledge of MS Office programs and School MIS (SIMS / FMS) systems.

· Dealing with hardware, software and troubleshooting in a networked environment.

· Ability to repair workstations and servers.

· Ability to identify future ICT needs, problems and implications.

· Any experience of Linux is also desirable.
