TechSupp Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Where do I change the workgroup\domain name or my Ubuntu PC. I have set it in the network settings applet but when I use the browse network feature I see 'Windows network' from which I then see our domain name and then MSHOME, in MSHOME is my Ubuntu PC. Is this just a throwback to when it was first set up or is my Ubuntu still set with MSHOME somewhere that I have not found yet. Impressed so far, just got to get it to pick up my network printer now.
Geoff Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Your DNS domain name is obtained via DNS, check your local DNS server for the setting. If however you are on a static network setup you can change it in /etc/hosts
