SCCM - At least one deployment type is required to be selected

Hi, I am running SCCM 1511 (Previously 2012 R2 SP1 - Issue existed on their too...) Everything is working really well, apart from one really annoying issue, which until now I could live with.

 

I have started to create and deploy multiple applications, including App-V sequenced apps. Due to the complexity, I need to use dependencies, supersedence and Virtual Environments.

 

The problem is, I cant create any of these. Due to the error in the title.

 

I select the application, I select the deployment type and I have the little ! in a red circle saying the above. Clicking ok makes the above pop up in its own little window...

 

Tried creating alternative deployment types and it does the same. So although I am selecting one, it says i am not.

 

I am guessing this is something broken within my SCCM install, but everything else works perfectly. Googling brings up ziltch on this.

 

Hope someone on here has heard it before or came across it before and can give me a fix...

 

Main reason for needing this is I am testing SIMS and FMS in App-V. If I deploy the App-V client and then deploy sims and then deploy FMS, they all work (minus FMS not being able to see SIMS, due to it being in a separate environment). But I need it, so if the end user selects to install FMS only, then SIMS and App-V get installed first and FMS and SIMS get put in the same environment so they can see each other...

Just a wild stab in the dark with my edufork, have you tried creating the package with powershell. have you check you are running the latest console?

So will it not deploy "any" packages? Or only the one you mentioned above.

 

e.g. if you do a basic MSI install etc do you get the same error?

I can deploy applications just fine. Its setting applications as dependencies, supercedence or APP-V environments I cant seem to be able to do. Running latest console. Installed SCCM 1511 last night to see if that would fix issue.

And when you're setting for example a dependency do the packages work themselves? (e.g. If you set FMS to require SIMs, do both install individually?)

OH MY DAYS...

 

Thought of something this morning that it could be... Turns out I was right and it is as stupid as I thought. So letting everyone know in case they come across it.

 

I remote onto my servers using a Surface Pro 4 (200% DPI)... The servers are 2012 R2 so do respect my DPI settings... BUT... SCCM, doesnt respect my DPI completely... Just remoted in from a normal 100% DPI PC and guess what. In the dialog boxes, there are now a tick box next to each deployment type... I cannot see these tick boxes on my SP4...

 

I feel so stupid.

 

First world problems... When you complain that your laptop resolution is just too good.
